The Feeling We Start From

It's dark by four. We're still dreaming of July.

For months, Stockholm lives in the dark. People fly south to buy a week of summer, then come home to the same grey. And in a city where so many live alone, winter can quietly shrink our lives.

The sun sets before five. On dark winter afternoons, even a short escape can feel far away. Winter here is not dramatic — it is quiet, and long.

The Idea

Landa is a place made of mood rooms.

Every room is designed around a feeling you take home with you. Warmth, light, sound, texture and scent do the emotional work.

It opens with Winmer: summer in the middle of winter. Come alone or bring someone. No plane ticket, no headset.

Light

Sound

Curated ambient landscape

Warmth

Heated floors and warm air — summer on your skin

Texture

The First Two Rooms

Two opposite feelings, one pilot

The Retreat

You leave rested.

Warm sand, a shallow pool, beach chairs, a library and a coffee. A little beach day within the city. Nothing to finish, nowhere to rush.

Your pace

Stay a while

Your space

Read, rest, reconnect

The Mission

You leave connected.

A shared challenge with people you have just met. A common enemy, hidden equipment, a clock. Connection happens along the way.

Your challenge

Find the last boat

Your team

Strangers become allies

The opportunity we want to explore

Come for a summer escape; choose quiet rest or connection through a shared mission.

Our next step: test local demand, repeat visits and the economics of a Stockholm pilot.

Where I come from

I’m studying Political Science and Sustainable Development, with experience in product design, quality assurance and systems thinking. My background spans Hyper Island, an internship at AKQA and UK rail delivery. I bring these perspectives together to shape Landa’s experience, design and development.

What I bring to Landa

The vision and the story. Experience design where every detail serves a feeling. Systems thinking and the discipline to take something from idea to opening day.

About You

You open doors for ideas that deserve to become landmarks

You open doors

You love pitching, know who to call, and can bring in investors, partners and the right building.

You play the long game

You want to build places that last, not a quick exit.

You lean into the unconventional

"Summer in the middle of winter" excites you. You don't ask for the software version.

You genuinely care about people

How someone feels when they leave matters to you as much as the numbers.

What We'll Figure Out Together

The open questions are the invitation

Proposed roadmap — subject to co-founder agreement and pilot design

First

Validate

—

Test demand and assess possible sites

—

Cost the pilot and explore funding

—

Test sensory effects with specialists

Then

Build

—

Prototype the retreat and mission

—

Run small visitor trials

—

Tune the sensory programme

With evidence

Decide

—

Agree a viable opening plan

—

Model operations and break-even

—

Expand only with evidence

How big?

Rooms spacious enough that nobody has to talk to anyone unless they want to.

How warm, and how green?

Explore warmth, water and light with engineering partners; test energy use and guest comfort.

Where exactly?

Finding the right building: strong floors, good ventilation, the right neighbourhood.

How do we fund it?

Costing the pilot and bringing in the right pre-seed investors and partners.

10 / 11

An equal partnership, built together.

The intention: equal ownership, earned together over time. Shared decisions from day one. Your name on a place that could become part of Stockholm's winter.
